The East Area Command covers East Las Vegas and the Boulder Highway corridor, one of the more densely populated working-class areas of the LVMPD jurisdiction. Boulder Highway is lined with older casino hotels, motels, and commercial strips serving longtime local residents rather than tourists. The neighborhood has a large Latino and Pacific Islander population.
